Experienced Strategy Consultant Virender Ahuja Joins HDR
HDR has hired Virender Ahuja as consulting principal in San Francisco. With over 23 years of experience covering a broad spectrum including business strategy, enterprise performance improvements, transition strategy and medical planning, Ahuja has impacted over 75 major projects across the industry. He joins HDR from Stanford Health Care, where he was director of transition strategy and prior to that senior manager in Accenture Strategy Consulting.
As consulting principal, Ahuja will lead efforts to assist clients in making strategic design and business decisions based on analytics, research, innovation and insights driven from his experience of working with a wide range of healthcare clients across the globe. His presence will strengthen HDR’s capability to discover exciting ways to offer innovative and creative solutions to enhance performance of the built environments and improve the health and wellness of the populations they serve.
“It is no secret that design solutions should be linked to the overall business strategies of a client,” Ahuja said. “With HDR, I’m now in a unique position to go beyond that and ensure design solutions are not only linked to, but rather a part of the overall business strategy.”
Ahuja earned his bachelor of Architecture at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and completed his Master of Community Planning in Urban Planning at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning.
