HDR’s Omer Receives Denis D. Stuhff Award of Excellence from UFSMA

Creighton Omer, P.E., CFM, a senior water resources engineer in HDR’s Omaha, Nebraska, office, was one of two recipients of the Denis D. Stuhff Award of Excellence at the Utah Floodplain and Stormwater Management Association’s recent annual conference. Omer received the award for his contributions to excellence in drainage design and floodplain management within the state of Utah, where he worked in water resources and transportation hydraulics for the past 13 years. He was also selected for the award for his professionalism, dedication and exceptional quality of work that have helped communities develop sustainable engineering solutions to challenging drainage and floodplain management issues. 

At the awards presentation, the organization read the following statement: “Creighton has worked in drainage design and floodplain management for over 16 years. Over that time he has gained respect from his clients and peers as a technical leader. He involves others, shares information and seeks input to develop sustainable engineering solutions. Creighton instills trust with everyone he works with through his professionalism, humility, dedication and exceptional quality in everything he does. Additionally, Creighton is a great mentor and teacher of difficult drainage and floodplain concepts. He takes an active role in mentoring the next generation of engineers on challenging projects to produce high=quality work in an efficient manner.”

Creighton is a professional engineer and a certified floodplain manager.
