Pelin Ozgul Wins AAH Herman Miller Healthcare Scholar Award
A Commitment to Excellence in Healthcare Architecture
Pelin Ozgul, an architectural coordinator in Arlington, Virginia, for our health practice, has earned the American Institute of Architects Academy of Architecture for Health and Herman Miller Healthcare Scholar Award. Ozgul was part of a select group to win the scholarship, which was based on education, healthcare experience, and commitment to excellence in healthcare architecture.
The scholarship program is a result of Herman Miller’s continuing commitment to excellence in healthcare architecture and support of young architects.
As part of the award, Ozgul has received a scholarship through which she will attend the 2019 Healthcare Design Conference & Expo at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Nov. 2-5.
Ozgul has been with HDR’s healthcare practice since 2017. She has worked on several complex, large-scale healthcare projects including the phased replacement of Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah, and the consolidation of Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Institute in Richmond, Virginia.
Past HDR recipients of the AAH/Herman Miller Healthcare Scholar award are Judith Crews and Josh Domingo.
