Yeaman Joins HDR as Principal Planner for Advanced Technologies
Don Yeaman has joined HDR as principal planner for advanced technologies within the Education | Science | Tech sector.
Based in San Francisco, Don will work with offices across the globe to support HDR’s growing technology practice. His responsibilities include winning and executing new work and further developing talent and thought leadership in advanced technology facilities.
“HDR’s reputation and systems and design expertise made the decision to join the firm an easy one,” Yeaman said. “I’m really looking forward to helping grow the high-tech business and collaborating with colleagues across the firm who share my passion for these types of projects.”
Yeaman has spent his entire 30-plus-year career in the high-tech industry. In the past, he ran his own consulting firm, Briner-Yeaman Engineering, before holding leadership roles with MW Group (now “Exyte”) and EXP. Over the course of his career, he has developed an impressive portfolio of semiconductor, nanotechnology and other advanced technology work on both the owner and consultant sides. His responsibilities have included manufacturing management, process tool selection and installation on the owner side and facilities programming, conceptual design, industrial engineering and project management on the consultant side.

Yeaman earned his bachelor’s in engineering physics from Oregon State University. He has published several papers on topics such as integrated planning for nanotechnology facilities and rapid tool installation.
