Carrillo joins HDR as Global Inclusion and Diversity Director
Abraham Carrillo has joined HDR as its global inclusion and diversity director. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Carrillo will drive HDR’s inclusion and diversity strategy and chair HDR’s Inclusion & Diversity Council.
“I want to find ways for inclusion and diversity to become intrinsic to the fabric of the company,” Carrillo said. “Employees feel like they truly belong, which empowers them to be the best version of themselves — providing the best solutions for our clients and communities.”
Prior to joining HDR, Carrillo was director, global inclusiveness & diversity at Herman Miller, a role he grew in 10 years from a request to lead a voluntary, employee-led group that was part of a company-wide program designed to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace. Under his leadership, the company received numerous industry awards and recognitions, including a 100% Corporate Equality Index Score from the Human Rights Campaign for 13 consecutive years, from 2007-2020.
“I’m excited to have Abe join our organization and lead us through our journey to become a more inclusive and diverse organization that builds upon the best in all of us,” said Chairman and CEO Eric Keen, the IDC executive sponsor.
Carrillo has an MBA in finance, and he is the chair of the National Hispanic Corporate Council.
