Chad Anderson Promoted to Lead Dallas Architecture Studio
Chad Anderson, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been selected as managing principal of HDR’s Dallas architectural practice. He will oversee 60-plus staff, set the strategic vision for the $12 million practice, develop and retain talent, deliver design excellence and technical quality to clients, and strengthen the firm’s presence in the region.
“We didn’t need to go outside our organization to find our leader. I am confident that Chad’s leadership skills will elevate the work of our firm in the Dallas market and surrounding areas,” said Kelly Kaatz, South Central regional operations director.
Todd Tierney, West Region director of architecture, remarked, “I look forward to partnering with Chad to build upon the growth of the practice and strength of our talented team to expand HDR’s portfolio of work throughout Texas.”
Following a 10-year stint at HKS as a project architect, Anderson joined HDR in 2009 to support the design of Parkland Hospital. He later transitioned to project and client management in 2015, and has since built and developed strong client relationships with key healthcare systems in Texas.
Anderson credits his deeply-rooted passion for architecture to his childhood in Singapore, where he was mesmerized by the merging of various architectural styles within a confined land space.
Anderson graduated with a Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University.
