HDR | Andrew Reid to Receive Queen’s Award
HDR | Andrew Reid has won a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise, relating to international trading. The firm, based in London, is one of only 220 organizations in the United Kingdom to be recognized with this award this year. HDR, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, acquired the company in 2019 to strengthen its expertise in building engineering services.
Now in its 54th year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most significant business awards in the country, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed Queen’s Awards’ emblem for the next five years.
HDR | Andrew Reid will celebrate its award during a royal reception for Queen’s Awards’ winners in the summer.
“We are delighted to win this prestigious accolade,” said Mike O’Mahony, managing director, HDR | Andrew Reid. “It is wonderful recognition of the exponential international growth we have developed over the past eight years and in particular the last three, which has facilitated new companies being opened in Denmark, The Netherlands, Singapore and Australia. This is a trajectory that we will continue to maintain with plans to expand our geographical reach further through the ongoing development of our people and systems, and by continuing to add value to our clients wherever they are located.”
HDR | Andrew Reid provides three key services:
- Commissioning; the process by which the process of setting the building services systems is managed and/or validated, in order to work reliably and in accordance with the design requirements.
- Design of the building services in new and refurbished properties.
- Quality control and quality assurance.
The commissioning skills are applied in multiple sectors, working extensively in data centers, commercial offices, and high-end residential and specialist spaces, such as galleries and museums.
In the past decade, HDR | Andrew Reid has enjoyed significant growth in critical engineering, ensuring the smooth running of building services systems in business critical sectors, such as internet data, financial transactions and pharmaceutical research.
