HDR Promotes Aimie Mims to Power and Energy Right of Way Director
Aimie Mims, SR/WA, has been promoted to HDR right of way director for power and energy. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mims will drive right of way strategy and tactical plans for infrastructure and energy-corridor projects across the United States.

They can build successful relationships within the communities that they serve. As the power market continues to transition toward renewable and distributed energy, empowering our right of way teams with the latest technology and training enables us to continue to provide clients with premier right of way services.”
Mims is an energetic leader in the right of way industry with 18 years of experience on power, renewable energy and transportation projects. Under her leadership, HDR has partnered with clients nationwide to reliably meet customer capacity and energy needs while being cost effective. Prior to joining HDR, Mims was with Xcel Energy as a siting and land rights associate, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guyana, South America.
Over the past decade, Mims has been an active voice in the International Right of Way Association, including her most recent role as international president where she worked toward the association’s purpose of improving people’s lives through infrastructure development.
Mims holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Minnesota, Morris, and a master’s degree in international studies and conflict resolution from the University of Denver. She is a registered senior right of way professional by IRWA and is certified by IRWA in negotiation and acquisition, and asset management.
