Cindy Cox Joins HDR as Health Planning Principal
Cindy Cox, AIA, ACHA, has joined HDR as a health planning principal based in the Seattle architecture studio.
In this role, Cox will be responsible for guiding the Seattle health practice while also supporting our growing health practice in Asia. She brings to HDR over 35 years of valuable experience as a medical planner and project manager for healthcare facilities across the country.
Cox is looking forward to bringing her passion and unique expertise in client and user group engagement to enhance HDR’s approach in healthcare planning. “I feel I am an advocate for developing both a good care environment for patients and a state-of-the-art facility that exceeds staff expectations in operations with a work environment they truly enjoy,” Cox said. She has a long history of connecting and workshopping with clients and users alike in everything from initial master plans to programming.
“Cindy brings deep knowledge and a broad healthcare perspective to our Seattle health practice,” said Jim Atkinson, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, LEED AP, director of healthcare planning. “We are delighted to add her to our health planning leadership as a health planning principal.”
Prior to joining HDR, Cox was a senior medical planner at Flad Architects in Madison, Wisconsin. Cox earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon.
