Jen Cross to Serve as ASLA Chapter President Council Chair
Site Design Leader Jen Cross, PLA, ASLA has been selected by the American Society of Landscape Architects to serve as the 2021–2022 ASLA Chapter President Council Chair.
In this position, Cross will advocate for ASLA’s chapters across the United States and communicate information and tools available to chapters through ASLA on behalf of national officers. Cross will also work to promote the profession of landscape architecture by serving on the Public Awareness Coalition and continuing to bring exposure to the field by supporting the development of networking events and opportunities to connect with students and young professionals.
When asked what she would like to bring to her new role, Cross said, “As someone with a lot of history and experience with ASLA, I’m looking forward to being a resource for new chapter presidents and helping them flourish.”
As the immediate past-president for the Nebraska/Dakotas chapter and an active member of ASLA since her time as a student member, Cross will bring her years of experience in organizing events, boosting membership, and connecting with other chapters to her new role.
Within the last decade, Cross revived the Nebraska/Dakotas Annual Conference and worked hard to provide greater opportunities for members to earn continuing education credits and find value in their membership. She will bring these experiences in utilizing ASLA resources to their fullest potential and connecting with the next generation of landscape architects to her new position.
