Justin Perdue Named Principal for Education, Science and Advanced Technologies in Eastern Canada
Justin Perdue, OAA, MRAIC, has been promoted to education, science and advanced technologies principal in Eastern Canada.
Perdue will work with leadership in our Kingston, London, Ottawa, and Toronto offices and across Eastern Canada to amplify the firm’s presence, build new business and lead projects in education, science, and advanced technology markets. Perdue has been with HDR since 2018, most recently serving as a project principal in the Toronto office. Prior to joining HDR, he was an architect with Stantec and BBB Architects in Toronto.

His dedication to finding the best way forward — whether that be for strategic planning, business development, project delivery, or staff development — will serve our sector well moving forward,” said Global Director of Education, Science and Advanced Technologies Steve Riojas.
Justin has played an instrumental role on several of HDR’s award-winning projects including the Advanced Nuclear Materials Research Building at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, which is one of the only laboratories in the country to incorporate mass timber.
Over the course of his career, Perdue has worked with a wide variety of sectors with an eye for bringing design excellence and clarity to large, complex projects involving multiple stakeholder groups. He has an aptitude in working with client stakeholders to clarify needs and build consensus and is always exploring the next tool to enhance team productivity and collaboration.
An industry leader in project design and delivery, Perdue frequently contributes to panels and conferences on related topics and has most recently contributed to the upcoming edition of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada's "Handbook of Practice" on the topics of Management, Supervision and Mentorship.
