Tommy Sinclair Joins HDR as Justice Principal
Tommy Sinclair, NCARB, AIA, has joined HDR as justice principal based in Tampa, Florida. With more than 15 years of experience in justice design and planning, Sinclair will work closely with the Tampa office and architecture leadership to build the firm’s justice practice and forge new client relationships in the East region of the U.S.
“I am excited by the opportunity to join such a well-regarded justice practice,” Sinclair said. “HDR is known for designing thoughtful and impactful justice facilities. The work we do as justice facility architects has a direct impact on the people within the facility, local communities, as well as how the facilities are operated. Knowing that we have the ability to make a positive difference is something I am very passionate about.”
“Our program is truly fortunate to welcome Tommy to our team,” remarked Gerry Guerrero, global director of justice at HDR. “I first met Tommy at an AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice event in 2014 and knew right then that he would make a name for himself in the industry. As a former colleague of mine, I’m delighted to once again be working side-by-side and look forward to his contributions to our justice practice at HDR.”
Prior to joining HDR, Sinclair was a senior justice planner and project designer at HOK. With a Master of Architecture from the University of South Florida, his career has stretched across the southern U.S. having resided in Florida, Texas and California.
