Sangmin Lee Honored as Top 10 Architect at 2022 CHCC
HDR Regional Director of Health for China and Design Principal Sangmin Lee, KIA, LEED AP BD+C, was named a Top 10 Architect in the Hospital Construction Awards at the 2022 China Hospital Construction Conference.
“It is a great honor to be recognized in the 2022 Hospital Construction Awards and I am deeply humbled,” Lee said. “I am grateful to our HDR team and our partners for their tremendous effort on the projects for which this award is presented. From academic medical centers to specialty medical facilities for top universities and healthcare organizations in China, our work has presented great opportunity to play a role in the advancement of healthcare facilities and services throughout the country.”
The award comes as an acknowledgement of Lee’s recent work on several high-profile projects in China, including:
- Guilin Medical School Affiliated Hospital
- Zhejiang University School of Medicine First Affiliated Hospital Yuhang & Medical Research Center
- Guangzhou R&F International Hospital in Affiliation with UCLA Health
- Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital Grand Canal Branch
- Taikang Nanjing International Medical Center
Lee has worked in more than 10 countries with diverse cultures throughout the world, including China, United Kingdom, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, United Arab Emirates and the United States. His diligence in melding cultural identity with corporate identity through a global understanding of differences in how serves are marketed and delivered has established his reputation for implementing innovative branding strategies into the design process.
