Anosha Zanjani, B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Arch.

Behavioral Health Design Specialist

Anosha is a behavioral health designer and researcher based out of our Los Angeles studio. Prior to her career in architecture, she had an established career in the mental health field. After earning a Bachelor of Science with honors in psychology and neuroscience from the University of Toronto, she went on to work in psychiatric facilities, private practice and academic institutions, where she conducted clinical research and worked directly with patients suffering from severe mental health disorders. Anosha has lectured at international conferences and her research has been published in over a dozen of the world’s top peer-reviewed journals in psychology and psychiatry.

After several years in the field of mental health, she noticed and became interested in the significant impact that spaces had on patients. That interest turned into a passion to build better spaces that would positively impact the treatment and recovery of individuals facing mental health issues. She pursued that dream and earned both a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development at Columbia University. At HDR, Anosha uses her expertise in mental health to help clients and project teams combine design with research methodology to create innovative design solutions that unite with the healing process.
