Beth Mende, P.E.
Beth assists clients in the Pacific Northwest and Western region on water and wastewater treatment design projects, along with bench-scale and pilot-plant operations, technical studies, field tests, water quality evaluations, and plant operation optimizations.
Beth grew up in Southern California and attended the University of California, Riverside for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical and environmental engineering. As a grad student, she worked as a plant operations assistant at one of the largest water treatment plants in the United States. After seeing how the operations side of things worked, she became interested and began working on water treatment plant design projects. Beth enjoys seeing those designs come to life!
Beth is an active member of the American Water Works Association and is involved with local and regional committees. She enjoys attending and presenting at regional and national conferences. Her most recent presentation discussed PFAS treatability and removal. Also, she enjoys volunteering at local outreach events through AWWA and other local organizations to teach kids and students about our industry.
