Cristina Piekarz, P.E.
Cristina’s experience includes supporting a variety of industrial and municipal clients in water and wastewater.
She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in chemical engineering. In college, she worked on a number of environmental engineering research projects in water, air quality and renewable energy. Water became her focus after experiencing firsthand the impact of lead exposure and unsafe drinking water on her community.
Cristina enjoys helping clients solve challenging water and wastewater treatment problems, and looks for opportunities to learn about new and innovative approaches that can add value to clients and communities. Her work experience includes water balances, chemistry models, technology evaluations, bench scale and pilot testing, system design, permitting support, process optimization plans, and facility commissioning assistance and oversight.
She recently published and presented work on monitoring and managing metal concentrations to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Lead and Copper Rule compliance at an international water conference.
