Grace Doran, EIT
Water Resources Engineer
As a water resources project engineer, Grace designs stormwater packages, provides stormwater comprehensive planning and creates fish-passable culverts. Her day-to-day activities include hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, planning events for her local HDR Young Professionals Group.
Grace is passionate about designing innovative and acceptable fish passage solutions for involved jurisdictions, including Washington Tribes. Environmental issues, including water rights and access, is something Grace has been interested in throughout her life. She has enjoyed living and working in Seattle where these topics are main points of conversation and design.
One of Grace’s biggest accomplishments within HDR has been pitching a journey management safety mobile application during an Ingenuity Challenge and securing funding for the app development.
Grace is involved in the Seattle Younger Member Forum of the American Society of Civil Engineers Volleyball league and continues to share way too much about drainage issues and fish passage facts with her colleagues.
