Satoshi Teshima, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Satoshi leads design for the firm’s education, science and technology practice in the greater Los Angeles area. He leverages his diverse expertise and portfolio of academic, research and healthcare environments to elevate design outcomes within the LA studio and across the firm’s larger design practice.
With a truly holistic approach, Satoshi’s projects are distinguished by thoughtfulness and are highly contextual as he collaborates closely with all stakeholders and leads design teams to develop a strategy that integrates functional needs and creates transformational experiences. A keen sense of social responsibility motivates him to make environmentally responsive and human-centered design an imperative on each journey to create a sense of place.
Satoshi’s engagement with the wider community includes serving on the advisory board of East LA College’s architecture department and as guest critic and lecturer at institutions such as CalPoly Pomona and Santa Monica College. An award-winning architect and thought leader, he is the recipient of numerous accolades including the AIA Young Architect Award (2018) and ENR California’s Top Young Professional (2017).
