Senior Water Quality Project Manager
Tom has extensive environmental engineering experience in watershed and stormwater management, water quality modeling, monitoring and assessment, including total maximum daily loads, eutrophication and harmful algal blooms, water quality credit trading, facilities planning, and water quality standards development and attainability.
He is passionate about mentoring younger staff and colleagues about water quality science and technology, and successfully navigating state and federal regulations pertaining to water quality management.
Tom has served as a lead researcher and principal investigator for national research projects for the National Academy of Sciences, National Association of Clean Water Agencies, Water Environment Research Foundation, Water Environment Federation and Federal Highway Administration. He has been an active member of a number of professional organizations with leadership roles in several. He has given numerous technical presentations at regional and national conferences, with many published papers and research reports.
