The Sunshine Coast Health Institute (SCHI) is a world-class teaching and research facility located alongside the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) where healthcare students can experience hands-on clinical training in state-of-the-art simulation suites. SCHI includes exact replicas of the new hospital’s operating suite, intensive care bedroom, birthing suite and emergency resuscitation bay, as well as clinical research laboratories, multipurpose learning areas, e-learning areas, an auditorium and a purpose-built lecture theatre.

The design vision for the whole SCUH campus reflects the climatically idyllic and welcoming Sunshine Coast way of life.
