Rehab Hospital Uses Landscape as Healing Tool
At the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital on the University of Utah Health Sciences Campus in Salt Lake City landscape design plays a role in rehabilitation therapy. In addition to gardens, fountains, plazas, and water features, an outdoor therapy terrace extends the rehabilitation gym space to the outdoors for multiple mobility training surfaces with varied slopes and terrains and expansive views of the surrounding mountains.
Healthcare Design Magazine’s June/July issue highlights the advanced features that integrate landscape design with treatment in a feature story "Rehab Hospital Uses Landscape as Healing Tool."
