Ann Barolak, AIA, MBA
Education and Science Principal
Ann is an architect with an MBA and nearly two decades of experience shaping higher education environments. With a foundation in environmental design and a career-long focus on academic spaces, she is known for her collaborative leadership, strategic approach and deep expertise in programming, design and client service.
Having led pursuit teams for over 150 projects ranging from science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) buildings and medical research spaces to libraries, student housing, and campus support buildings, Ann applies her passion for excellence across proposal development, client interviews, and sector-specific marketing efforts.
Based in our Philadelphia architecture studio, Ann leads efforts to strengthen relationships with colleges and universities across the Northeast. She focuses on driving business development pursuits, assembling multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with global counterparts on strategic initiatives that will strengthen our position with leading science and education clients.
Ann is an active member of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) and a frequent presenter at local and national conferences. She also engages with organizations such as the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers (APPA) and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), underscoring her commitment to supporting the academic design community.
