Jim Grimstad

Jim puts 20 years of transmission and distribution engineering expertise to work every day guiding our teams to tackle project challenges. He’s focused on ensuring our technical project delivery is the highest quality, and looks at every project experience as a learning opportunity. Jim has served as a project manager, technical lead and design review team leader in the past, becoming a subject matter expert for modeling lines in PLS-CADD applications.

Jim cares deeply about getting the right team in place to best serve our clients, and thoughtfully allocates resources from technical experts to support staff. He knows it takes a mix of hands-on experience, smarts and management for a project to meet client goals while staying within the set budget and schedule.

Jim has an impressive technical resume himself, but it’s seeing others he’s mentored succeed that he’s most proud of. He always looks to learn from the people around him, and considers how he can pass on his own knowledge.
