Derek is a Chartered and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland with more than 30 years of experience in civil engineering, technical design and managing infrastructure-related projects across road, highway, rail, water and general infrastructure projects. He has extensive engineering experience in roads and highway engineering from feasibility design through to detail design, including construction management/supervision. His experience in highway engineering relates to both temporary and permanent works with specific design elements.
He's an astute ability to interpret client requirements, rapidly identify scope complexities and provide technical alternatives and solutions. This focus ensures the best possible results and results in projects consistently managed to schedule, budget and client specification.
Derek also enjoys challenges and excels at working collaboratively with others, engaging team members to create an environment conductive to producing a client and delivery focused outcome.
