Navigating Technology in the Real World

As part of our Talk Of The Town series and during Cybersecurity Month, David Brearley led our most recent thought leadership breakfast event. His compelling presentation “Navigating Technology in the Real World” took over 25 clients in our London, U.K., office on a journey; guiding our industry partners through the labyrinth of cybersecurity.

David’s commentary is inspired by the belief that the semiotics approach sheds further light on how digital environments generate new systems of cultural meaning and expression. These frameworks together illustrate that the relationship between technology and culture is not linear or deterministic; rather, it involves reciprocal processes of adaptation, transformation and mutual shaping.
