Paul Jones Joins HDR as Commercial and Real Estate Sector Lead
HDR is delighted to welcome Paul Jones as our new commercial and real estate sector lead for the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, based in the London, U.K., office. Jones brings 20 years of consultancy experience, with a strong focus on the British commercial development market.
He began his career in 2005 as a graduate in the mechanical engineering team at a small consultancy based outside of London, progressing and growing with the business; ultimately serving as a board director for four years prior to leaving in 2018. His time in a smaller firm instilled a hands–on, entrepreneurial mindset that continues to shape his approach today.
Jones subsequently joined a large, global engineering consultancy practice in 2018, initially as a project director and a team lead before being promoted to a national leadership role and, most recently, to a position within the markets team. There, he led a multidisciplinary team focused on business development, work winning and project delivery in the residential sector.
He was specifically drawn to HDR due to the expertise of its people, the quality of projects, shared values and the collaborative spirit fostered by the employee ownership model. He is excited to embark on the next stage of his career, bringing his experience and energy to help grow our commercial and real estate sector offering, whilst expanding HDR’s presence across the region.
