Northwestern Memorial Hospital Regenstein Center for Neurological Care

Clinic Relocation Offers New View for Neurology

At the previous location in Galter Pavilion, Northwestern Memorial HealthCare’s Neurology and Neurosurgery Clinic was running out of space for practice and education growth. The program’s new space on the 19th floor of the 25-story Lavin Family Pavilion is a 25,770-square-foot, state-of-the-art clinic that includes 46 exam rooms, eight infusion bays and new imaging technology, expanding the clinic’s ability to provide enhanced services and high-quality care for patients.

Key features of the Regenstein Center for Neurological Care include:

  • The clinic was designed to position staff work areas, lounges, offices and several exam rooms with views of Lake Michigan and Northwestern University’s Chicago campus.
  • A modular design includes well-outfitted team workrooms, and staff have a clear line of sight from workrooms to exams rooms for easy team-member communication.
  • Eight new infusion bays are positioned with window views to the east, providing patients spending long hours in the bays with spectacular views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago shoreline.
  • Flooring includes gait measurement markings in the form of lines every five feet for walking test measurements to replace tape on the wall used in the previous location.
  • Seven floors of enclosed patient and visitor parking, off-street valet parking and a covered patient pick-up/drop-off area, make navigating the dense urban area simpler for patients.
