Design Excellence
The Opacity Initiative is HDR’s measurement of our design conscience, during which we invite respected critics to evaluate projects submitted by our architecture studios. The purpose of these jury deliberations? To glean critical insights to best inform our future design intent.
Divided into four-year cycles, Opacity consists of three annual design reviews, each chronicled in a book featuring notable projects and jury input. We use the fourth year as an opportunity for deep reflection, developing a curated monograph that encompasses these thoughts and feedback.
What is Opacity?
