Lin (Leo) Meng
Computational Design Lead
Lin (Leo) joined HDR in 2019 after successfully applying for an HDR-funded Ph.D. on the topic of machine learning urbanism and recommender systems at the University of New South Wales. When not studying or tutoring at UNSW, Leo is part of our Data-Driven Design team, bringing his innovative thinking to clients across the globe.
A specialist in geospatial data and machine learning, Leo’s Ph.D. research, titled “Graph Powered Machine Learning for Transit Oriented Developments Recommender System,” is already being applied to real-life application on various projects. Leo has been an integral part of the project team form Sydney Metro, Parramatta Light Rail, Sydney Biomedical Accelerator, Western Sydney University Bankstown City Campus, Next DC Merlot 2 and Merlot 3 data centres, and the Macquarie University STEM Masterplan.
