Bradley Touchstone Brings Decades of Pursuit Strategy and Technical Delivery Experience to HDR
Bradley Touchstone, FAIA, a bridge architecture leader known for his work on major structures throughout North America, has joined HDR as a transportation market and program growth strategist.
Touchstone brings three decades of experience developing complex and signature bridges, with a career focused on integrating architecture, engineering, constructability and community priorities into major infrastructure projects. His portfolio includes the Gordie Howe International Bridge, Portage Bay Bridge, Hastings Bridge over the Mississippi River and other prominent structures across the U.S.
At HDR, Touchstone will work with the firm’s technical and market leaders to identify and pursue major transportation programs and projects, and he will help lead the technical execution of strategic pursuits. He will also represent HDR through industry organizations and activities.
“Great infrastructure comes from understanding much more than a structure. It reflects the people, place and purpose it serves,” Touchstone said. “HDR has an extraordinary transportation practice, and I’m excited to join this team, showcase the firm’s immense technical capabilities, and help our clients create the infrastructure that communities will rely on for decades.”
A registered architect in multiple U.S. states and Canada, Touchstone was named to the American Institute of Architects’ College of Fellows in 2020. He has also served on the Transportation Research Board’s Bridge Aesthetics Subcommittee.
“Bradley understands that the best infrastructure solutions bring technical excellence together with thoughtful design, constructability and the aspirations of the communities they serve,” said HDR Transportation Market Strategy Director Chris LaTuso. “His experience on some of the industry’s most challenging and recognizable projects complements the depth of our team. We’re excited to have him working alongside our leaders as we help clients advance significant projects across North America and beyond.”
