Richard R. Bell, P.E.

Dick Bell is our former chairman and chief executive officer. He joined the firm in 1974 and devoted a 37-year career to HDR.

In 1996, he led an employee buy-back, returning the company to U.S. and employee ownership. He served as CEO from 1996 until 2011 when he retired. Since that time, Dick has continued to provide strategic counsel, serving as an outside director on the HDR Board of Directors.
