Maryam Dezfoolian

Maryam is an engineer-in-training (EIT) whose work is strongly focused on water and wastewater systems. She has extensive experience in the planning, design, and implementation of water treatment solutions, particularly for Indigenous and remote communities, and hands-on expertise in both field-based and laboratory-scale testing, supporting water quality monitoring, process optimization, and system performance evaluation for drinking water and wastewater treatment applications.

Prior to joining HDR, Maryam spent 10 years as a postgraduate, gaining experience across multidisciplinary roles, including standards evaluation, materials engineering, and chemical engineering.
