John K. Wilson

A qualified audit committee expert, John offers vast experience to the HDR Board of Directors from his prior business roles, engagement on other boards, and as a certified public accountant.  

John is the former president of Durham Resources, LLC, a privately held financial management company, where he led business acquisitions, divestitures and financing related to the natural gas distribution industry, commercial and residential real estate development, community banking and various securities within public markets. He was president of Great Plains Energy Corporation, a public utility holding company, and controller/vice president of Great Plains Natural Gas Company. He has also served as executive director of the Robert B. Daugherty Foundation in Omaha and director of Tetrad Corporation, a privately held investment company.

John has an extensive background in finance and accounting and has served on advisory boards of U.S. Bank NA Omaha and Duncan Aviation. 

John has served as an outside director on HDR’s board since 2012 and is currently chair of the Audit Committee. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska Omaha.
