Thank you for all your hard work and contributions to the success of our clients, our company, and each other in 2025. We collectively demonstrated our strength and resilience by successfully working through challenges, collaborating as a team, and focusing on the values that have become so much a part of our DNA for the past 109 years. Thanks to your work, we are proud to once again celebrate a year marked by innovation, adaptation, creative and technical excellence, and unwavering dedication to our clients, the communities we serve, and to one another. Congratulations on another extraordinary year in our HDR story.
Culture and Client Focus
This past year, our company grew to more than 14,000 employees as we welcomed Live Oak Consultants and NOVA Consulting to our team. We responded to external conditions by adeptly sharing work across all geographies and business groups, demonstrating once again that collaboration remains foundational to our success. Our culture, focus on our clients, and delivery of quality work continue to fuel our profitable growth.
Among the many accolades we earned in 2025, Forbes named HDR one of America’s Best Employers for Company Culture and New Grads. And, we are now the fifth-largest employee-owned firm in the United States, and the top one in our industry.
We expect to see another year of collaboration and growth in 2026 as workloads surge in several key market sectors that are at the core of our business, and as we push into markets that require an integrated approach, such as aviation architecture and advanced manufacturing.
We will establish a new framework for how we interact with our clients and strengthen our partnerships with them. We will add value to our clients, improve productivity, and enhance project delivery performance by integrating several technology tools into our business over the next few years. These efforts are intended to move us beyond just winning individual projects to cultivating strategic client relationships.
Our Heritage of Success
As we look forward, we will have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Significant uncertainty caused by worldwide geopolitical events and unprecedented rhetoric in public dialogue will continue to affect our teammates, our partners, and our communities. In the meantime, our focus remains on delivering for our clients, living our values, and taking care of each other in a culture of ownership, integrity, and respect.
As the rate of change continues to accelerate, some things will always hold true at HDR. Our exceptional organisational character lives on thanks to the fortitude shown by H.H. Henningson in 1917, which was reaffirmed by the HDR leaders who championed our employee ownership in 1996. Let us be inspired by our history and heritage, which continue to serve as the foundation for our success, and work together every day to pass this DNA on to the next generation of employee-owners.
Please accept my gratitude for another fantastic year and for the work you do every day. I am confident that if H.H. Henningson, Chuck Durham, or Willard Richardson read this Annual Report, they would be proud of their legacy, which continues to be alive and well.
