HDR’s design for the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Nemours Children’s Hospital has been honored with a 2025 IIDA Healthcare Design Award in the Hospitals (Pediatrics) category.
Presented by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), the annual awards recognize outstanding creativity and innovation in healthcare interior design. This year’s jury praised winning projects for their ability to transform patient and staff experiences through thoughtful, human-centered solutions.
The project reimagines pediatric cancer care by blending clinical excellence with a calming, nature-inspired environment. Designed to support healing and resilience, the space integrates biophilic elements, intuitive wayfinding, and flexible care zones tailored to children and families navigating complex treatment journeys.
"This award reflects the transformative vision of the clinical team at Nemours and their commitment to caring for the whole child; a space where kids don't just survive, they thrive," said HDR Interior Design Principal Sara Gally.
