HDR’s Voss Selected as President of Water Collaborative Delivery Association
Guy Voss, P.E., was elected as the new president of the Water Collaborative Delivery Association (WCDA). Voss and his fellow board members are chosen based on their expertise, leadership and commitment to advancing collaborative delivery solutions in the water and wastewater industry.
WCDA, formerly known as the Water Design-Build Council, is a leading professional association dedicated to transforming the water industry through successful collaborative delivery methods. Since 2006, it has served as the leading source of best practices, knowledge and resources, with tools designed to help owners, design-build firms, engineering firms, construction firms, and suppliers leverage the power of collaborative delivery to achieve better project outcomes together.
Voss is HDR’s alternative project delivery director for the water program and a licensed professional engineer. With close to 30 years of global experience, he has successfully managed and delivered about $4 billion of water and wastewater infrastructure on every continent except Antarctica.
In 2021, Voss co-authored “Advancing Project Success and Avoiding Failure,” a WCDA research report that provides valuable knowledge and confidence in the use of collaborative delivery methods, and helped sponsor Senate Bill 991, which provides for the use of Progressive Design Build for all water agencies in California.
“Guy has been a trusted leader and advocate for collaborative delivery across the water sector for many years,” said JaNell Cook, a service delivery director at HDR. “His ability to align owners, designers and builders around shared goals has helped advance the industry, and WCDA will benefit greatly from his leadership.”
