Woodlinks Village is a residential development made up of 900 allotments over 78 hectares at Collingwood Park west of Brisbane. Since 2012 HDR has been responsible for all engineering aspects of this masterplanned redevelopment from initial due diligence and concepts development, through the planning process into the operational and works phase (detailed design). We have provided all engineering aspects of the development including roadworks, earthworks, storm water drainage/flooding, traffic impact and a utility services impact assessment for the redevelopment application.

Our engineers worked closely with the urban designers to incorporate the appropriate road network into the development layout to manage the traffic generated within the development along with consideration for the steep topography in some locations on site. Public transport provisions were also a consideration in determining the local network functionality in the layout. A Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) was undertaken to determine external access requirements via new signalised intersections and to establish any impacts on the existing external road network.
