With the frequency and intensity of wildfires and other natural hazard events on the rise, utilities are experiencing an increased risk to their transmission system reliability. Multiple wildfires affected several locations in Washington’s Chelan County in the last five years, prompting Chelan Public Utility District (PUD) to look at their system differently.
