With planning now secured for Project Southgate, HDR is proud to provide services for Firmus Technologies to deliver architecture, digital delivery support and ancillary engineering services on this landmark AU$2.1 billion artificial intelligence (AI) campus in Launceston, Australia. 

HDR's involvement in the ongoing design phase reflects its strength in combining integrated architecture and engineering expertise with advanced digital delivery methods. This will support Project Southgate, which sets new benchmarks for performance, sustainability and innovation as Tasmania, Australia, establishes the world’s first AI Factory Zone.

The development will feature modern server halls, offices and supporting infrastructure designed for 24/7 operations — an important step in positioning Northern Tasmania at the forefront of global AI and digital industries.
