City of Calgary Selects HDR-ISL Team for Transportation Planning and Engineering Expertise

HDR, in partnership with ISL, has been selected by The City of Calgary to support its transportation planning and roadworks initiatives under a three-year engineering consulting contract.

As Calgary advances its vision for a safe, connected and sustainable mobility network, HDR and ISL will support transportation planning, roadworks and multimodal infrastructure projects that facilitate the efficient movement of people and goods throughout the city. The HDR-ISL team was ranked first among the consulting teams chosen to deliver city projects throughout the three-year period. 

The selection reinforces HDR's position as a trusted partner to The City of Calgary and reflects the strength of the HDR-ISL team in delivering transportation solutions that enhance traffic flow, mobility and community connectivity.

The appointment strengthens HDR's longstanding relationship with The City of Calgary and underscores the firm's leadership in delivering innovative transportation solutions that support growing communities across Canada.

Projects in the City’s plan that could be included in this work include bus rapid transit (BRT) studies, site concept planning, wayfinding and corridor studies. Already underway is the Glenmore Trail Functional Planning Study, exploring short- and long-term improvements in the city between Richard Road and 14th Street, including BRT improvements. Public engagement on the project has begun and is ongoing.
