Driven by innovation and best practices, Bernie leads our highways and roads team. More than three decades of transportation experience and expertise help guide Bernie as he sets the vision and direction for this core market.
Traffic safety is one of his passions. Knowing that our design and implementation of solutions can have a significant impact on reducing fatal and life-changing crashes gives him great satisfaction. Bernie is also excited about the development and integration of new transportation technology, including AV/CV. As opposed to traditional transportation solutions, these new technologies can address societal challenges leading to a positive impact on quality of life.
Once an ITS International fellow, Bernie is also active nationally with ITS America, American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, Institute of Transportation Engineers and Transit Research Board.
