Helvi Sandvik

Helvi is the president of Kidways LLC, a management consulting firm providing strategic planning, management consulting, and executive and board coaching. She has served on the board of Alaska Air Group since 2013 and chairs the board’s safety committee. She also served as the chair of the Seattle Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

Prior to this, she worked in various leadership roles for 20 years, including president for NANA Development Corporation, a multibillion-dollar Alaska Native Corporation with 15,000 employees. Helvi also served as the deputy commissioner of the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities; director of Statewide Aviation, Leasing and Airport Administration; and as an Alaska Northern Region transportation planner.

Helvi is a recipient of the ATHENA Leadership Award and William A. Egan Outstanding Alaskan of the Year Award, and has served on the board of the United Way and as a commissioner of the U.S. Arctic Research Commission.
