Vincent Della Donna Elevated to ACHA's Council of Fellows
Vincent Della Donna, AIA, health principal and health practice lead based in HDR’s Pennington, New Jersey, architecture studio, has been elevated to the American College of Healthcare Architects' Council of Fellows, one of the organization's highest honors recognizing significant contributions to the profession of healthcare architecture.
With more than four decades of leadership in healthcare planning, design, strategy and a longstanding commitment to research and mentorship, Della Donna has advanced the profession through tireless service and extraordinary commitment. He cultivates emerging leaders, unites diverse stakeholders, elevates distinct voices and contributes to improving health outcomes by creating opportunities for collaboration, discovery and knowledge sharing.
“I am deeply honored by this recognition,” Della Donna said. “To be recognized by peers that I have worked with and served alongside for these many years is truly humbling.”
As the current president of the Foundation for Health Environments Research and past president of the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health, Della Donna’s leadership service advances the profession’s body of knowledge through research and discovery, conference planning, presentations and publications. His work at the community level focuses on access to healthcare for everyone.
“Vincent has built a remarkable career by helping healthcare organizations solve complex challenges while never losing sight of the people and communities they serve,” said Jacqueline Foy, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, global health director, HDR. “This recognition reflects not only his professional accomplishments, but also the generosity with which he shares his knowledge, develops future leaders and strengthens the healthcare design community.”
Della Donna will be formally recognized during the ACHA luncheon at the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo in October.
