Jacqueline Foy Promoted to Global Health Director of HDR’s Architecture Practice
Jacqueline (Jackie) Foy, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, has been promoted to global health director of HDR’s architecture practice.
Most recently managing principal of the firm’s Kansas City, Missouri, architecture studio, Foy joined HDR as a health principal and succeeds Hank Adams, AIA, FACHA, EDAC, who was promoted to global market sector director for architecture. In her new role, Foy will collaborate with health architecture directors and leaders in design, operations, marketing and business development to promote HDR’s quality design, planning, client service and industry-leading expertise as an integrated, multidisciplinary global firm.
“An empathetic leader, trusted collaborator and respected thought leader throughout the A/E/C and healthcare design communities, Jackie has earned a reputation for championing design excellence, embracing HDR clients’ missions and delivering architecture in support of global health,” Adams said. “With her background in pediatric design, experience delivering research and translational health sciences facilities and team-centered leadership style, I am confident HDR’s legacy of positive impact in healthcare design will continue under Jackie’s leadership.”
Since becoming a founding member of HDR’s Kansas City architecture studio in 2023, Foy has significantly influenced the firm’s regional growth and global success by recruiting diverse talent, building high-performance teams and impressing clients with innovative design ideas to advance treatment, care and the healing experience. She has grown HDR’s Kansas City design practice and has amplified her reputation for fostering collaboration among architects, executive leadership, clinicians and community stakeholders to deliver innovative, culturally responsive and resilient healthcare environments.
“When I joined HDR, I did so because the leadership I spoke with from across the firm understood a fundamental idea: strong teams are at the heart of every success,” Foy said. “I’m honored to take on the role of global health director for architecture and collaborate with HDR’s teams and healthcare clients around the globe to change the world for the better.”
With over 23 years of experience in healthcare architecture with specialized expertise designing pediatric environments, Foy is American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) certified and a member of the Center for Health Design Pediatric Environment Network.
