ADOT Quality Assurance Program: From South Mountain Freeway to a Programmatic Approach

Learn more about the Arizona Department of Transportation's $1.66 billion South Mountain Freeway project. This is ADOT's first highway public-private partnership project and their first project to utilize contractor-performed frontline inspection and testing with ADOT verification. Based on the lessons learned on this project, ADOT has developed a programmatic approach to deliver projects that utilize contractor-performed inspection and test results as part of the acceptance decision.
