Erin Fogarty, CHID, NCDIQ, LEED AP, has joined HDR as an interior design principal in our Kansas City, Missouri, architecture studio. With more than two decades of experience in several healthcare typologies and a passion for pediatric interior design, Fogarty is set to contribute to the growth of HDR’s architecture and interior design studio in the region.

“Interior design is a critical component to improving the patient, staff and family experience in a healthcare setting,” Fogarty said. “I am motivated each day to create unique spaces with a balance between meeting healthcare regulations and innovative design that results in a healing environment, and I am thrilled to tap into the extreme depth of knowledge at HDR.”

Fogarty comes to HDR from BSA Lifestructures where she was director of interior design for the Kansas City studio for three years and director of interior design for the firm for six years. As interior design principal in HDR’s Kansas City architecture studio, Fogarty will set the interior design vision for the local interiors practice in alignment with companywide design goals. The ever-changing nature of the healthcare industry motivates her to remain knowledgeable of the latest advancements and inspire an innovative spirit in project teams.

“Erin’s presence in our Kansas City architecture studio brings a wealth of knowledge and interior design expertise to our project teams in the region,” said HDR Interior Design Director Julie Robertson, NCIDQ, IIDA. “Her clear vision, careful consideration of detail, and passion for interiors is inspiring and greatly improves the human experience of the environments she designs.”

A graduate of Kansas State University in interior design, Fogarty is a Certified Healthcare Interior Designer and National Council for Interior Design Qualification certified. She is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and LEED AP accredited.
