HDR's Mark Rocha Named Rising Star in Structural Engineering
HDR Structural Engineer Mark Rocha, P.E., S.E., has been selected as a rising star and featured in Civil & Structural Engineer Magazine. Mark's expertise in the design and construction of highly complex buildings, combined with his natural passion for automation and programming sets him apart from his peers.

Based in HDR's San Antonio office, Mark has led on outstanding projects in Texas including NASA Johnson Space Center and Covenant Medical Center. During his 11 years at HDR, his experience includes a diverse array of building typologies, including data centers, courthouses, offices, hospitals, laboratories, and science and technology facilities. Throughout his career, Mark has also embraced leadership opportunities, guiding teams from concept design through to construction administration.
After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering, Mark furthered his education by earning a master's in structural engineering at Southern Methodist University. He's also an inspiring speaker and thought leader, having previously represented HDR as a BILT North American Conference presenter.
