Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital Finalist in 2025 Healthcare Design Awards

The new Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital, located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, has been named a finalist in two Healthcare Design award programs: the Healthcare Design Showcase and the inaugural Interior Design Competition.

Now in its 25th year, the Healthcare Design Showcase recognizes excellence in healthcare architecture and design. The Interior Design Competition recognizes projects that enhance the patient experience, support families and improve staff productivity and well-being. As a finalist, the 660,000-square-foot hospital will be featured in the August 2025 issue of Healthcare Design magazine and showcased at the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo in Kansas City, Missouri, in October.

Designed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital focuses on a local context and access to nature, replacing a 70-year-old facility and bringing a Level 1 trauma center to the Clear Creek Crossing development near Denver. The facility features include mountain views, daylight-filled interiors and outdoor amenity spaces to foster healing and connection to the environment.
