HDR’s Leiminger & Wagner Named to Roads & Bridges’ Top 25 Class of 2026

HDR Colorado Highway Lead Jordan Leiminger, P.E., and Senior Bridge Engineer Andrew Wagner, P.E., have been recognized by Roads & Bridges magazine as two of 25 outstanding young professionals who are shaping the future of transportation infrastructure in North America.

Leiminger began her career as an HDR intern in 2015 and has grown into a trusted leader. She guides multidisciplinary teams in design and construction in more than 10 states and designs projects for several local, state and federal owners/agencies. She focuses on identifying opportunities to improve designs, reduce long-term maintenance, enhance constructability and save costs through context-sensitive solutions. Believing that better outcomes start with stronger relationships, Leiminger connects with clients outside work — often mountain biking or skiing — to better understand what drives them and their vision for improvements in their communities.

“This recognition reflects the enormous efforts of the teams and mentors around me,” Leiminger said. “HDR’s Colorado area finds value in bringing compassion, care and empathy to our clients, stakeholders and their constituents, creating tailored transportation solutions that improve daily lives.”

Wagner has over a decade of bridge engineering and public infrastructure design experience. Since joining HDR in 2018, he has evolved from designing segmental bridges to leading bridge design on complex transit projects, including during preliminary design of Toronto’s Ontario Line. He also managed rail transit bridge design for Austin Transit Partnership’s 9.8-mile light rail line. Wagner emphasizes collaboration and critical thinking, encouraging his colleagues to master the fundamentals, understand the design process, and keep the project objectives front and center.

“I’m honored to receive this award,” Wagner said. “Our work at HDR goes beyond roads and bridges. It’s about connecting people, and I’m proud to help deliver resilient bridges to safely and efficiently make that happen.”

Both honorees are active in industry organizations — Leiminger with WTS International and Wagner with the Transportation Research Board’s Concrete Bridge Committee.
