Derek is spearheading our power program across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), leading business development efforts, shaping market strategy and partnering with clients to grow our presence in the region. 

With nearly a decade of technical and commercial experience, Derek is a specialist in high-voltage substation design and specification, power systems modeling, Great Britain Distribution Network Operator, and transmission operator requirements, and technical and innovation challenges for transmission and distribution network clients. His consultancy background brings a broad, adaptable perspective across the energy sector.

In addition to his technical expertise, Derek is a proven leader, known for guiding multidisciplinary teams and driving delivery on complex projects. He brings a calm, pragmatic approach to leadership, with a strong focus on collaboration, quality and striving to get the best results for clients.

A graduate of Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, Derek holds a master of engineering degree in electrical engineering.
